Employee-Owned architectural practice, Anderson Bell + Christie, have completed a two year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Strathclyde, funded by Innovate UK. The partnership embedded a Strathclyde University KTP Associate into the practice to develop its innovative Zero Carbon Neighbourhoods concept.
ABC are delighted to announce that on the successful completion of the KTP, Dr Fatma Pelin Ekdi, is their newest Employee Owner.
ABC R&D Director, Rowena Statt, said, “Pelin was recruited specifically to deliver the KTP and we have been blown away by her achievements. The KTP process has been a resounding success. We are so glad that it brought Pelin to us.”
Pelin brings her expertise in town planning, carbon calculation and research skills to the practice. She has been pivotal in the creation of a new service offering, which ABC will launch in 2025.
ABC Director, Jonathan McQuillan, said, “Our new service, Balance, will provide designers and decision makers the data to shape net zero places of the future. This is a very exciting time for ABC and we are delighted to have Pelin on board.”
