Greenhouse Gas Emissions Scope 1 + 2

Anderson Bell + Christie (ABC) have completed research with ExtendPLUS of @unistrathclyde to calculate ABC’s Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions.

ABC Director, Mark Sneddon, said, “this is an important milestone in the practices own journey to net zero. We have worked hard to reduce our impact and are pleased to see this reflected in the findings.”

ExtendPLUS calculated the ABC Scope 1 emissions as 8.87 tonnes CO2 per annum and Scope 2 emissions as 3.90 tonnes CO2 per annum. With the average carbon footprint of a UK household estimated at 8.1 tonnes CO2 per annum, we are doing well for an office of 35 people.

ABC have committed to complete Scope 3 emission calculations by 2030. The practice will use their ISO14001 accredited environmental management systems to deliver net zero by 2045.
