Reducing our Environmental Emissions
Delivering positive environmental change by reducing our own emissions and decarbonising our business
ABC recognise our duty towards reducing our carbon footprint and we consider environmental sustainability to be a vital priority for the future of our company.
We minimise our impact on the environment on our journey to Net Zero and utilise our creative expertise to design responsibly for ourselves and on behalf of our clients.
ABC will achieve net zero by 2045 and have embedded the plans into ISO 14001 accredited systems. To date, we have calculated our Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect) emissions under Greenhouse Gas Protocols, which we continue to review. We have committed to complete Scope 3 analysis (up and down our supply chain) by 2030.
We integrate the following three stages of waste management into our daily routine at ABC:
a) Sustainable Procurement Practices.
b) The efficient use and maintenance of our equipment.
c) Our reuse and recycling processes.
We will not purchase more than we need and prioritise purchasing equipment and supplies from local and independent businesses where possible. We purchase recycled paper, non-toxic cleaning supplies, avoid the purchase or use of any single use items.
ABC operates a waste hierarchy policy of reducing and reusing waste where possible. We consider repairing equipment before recycling and for charity donations for unused equipment, we liaise with local charities in Glasgow, ensuring that our contributions support community needs.
