We created a street of gables, resembling the traditional Scottish fishing villages where gables are presented to the sea in order to reduce exposure.

The south-west facing roof is used for solar water heating and the development uses a prefabricated structural timber system to provide enhanced thermal insulation and sound insulation at party walls.
