c) Industry affiliation, partnerships and awards.

ABC focuses on both in-house practices- achieving Iso 14001 – Environmental Management- accreditation, as well as energy-efficient architectural design. This includes staff with expertise in Passivhaus and PAS 2035 Retrofit Standards. Our architectural projects have won numerous architectural awards including those for affordable housing, healthcare and community facilities.

We encourage participation in progressive policies and processes- which as a 100% Employee-Owned- Business, we all have a stake in progressing effectively. We offer a Net Zero Design Service (‘Balance’) with knowledge gained from research into embodied carbon, and place-based carbon sequestration. We operate salary sacrifice schemes for our staff to encourage Cycle to Work and EV car use.

ABC have developed intellectual property in partnership with Scottish universities and recruited specialists in Carbon Balance and Embodied Carbon. This enables the practice to offer unique and industry-leading advice to our clients.  We continue to participate in discussions and ongoing learning with like-minded professionals seeking the best solutions for a sustainable Scotland.
